Oh brilliant sun
in your azure frame,
dark days of melancholy
lie faded laundry
in your joyful sunbeams.
Days cling to your glory
as voices raise in joy at your majesty.
Sun you are the star that outshines
the dark distance of night’s sparkle.
Creation lifts its heart in celebration
to your light of renewal.
You are the brilliance that greets
each dawning with rays of hope.
