How Dare the Moon

how dare the moon shine
when it is hidden in clouds
i long for its light

the night is too dark
i am feeling forsaken
my friend evades me

moonbeams my nightlight
they shine the path to my dreams
now I toss and turn

dear moon come to me
chase away your cloud blanket
shine for me again

A night is lovelier when the moon is shining. I love these haikus. Moonbeams can lull one to sleep and it's bright morning here (gotta go to work in a bit).
