Life Recycled

Life recycled
in scrap metal windmills.
We blow our wind
of glorious yesterdays in
rusty reminiscing,
squeaking on the listener’s ear.

Love the rusty reminiscing angle ... must confess to a little rust here and there myself.

The last line made me smile
"squeaking on the listener’s ear." and
"in rusty reminiscing"
Nice take on the prompt picture!!

"...squeaking in the listener's ear" is wonderful. Squeak is one of my favorite words.

You said a lot, well, in few words. "Rusty reminiscing" is excellent.

Nice poem, Susie; it has a
catchy way of holding our
interest, and yet delivering
your message, showing us
several deeper meanings
beneath the simplistic
veneer.
