Inspiration's Cat and Mouse

Words...
whispering
illusive
teasing

Inspiration
playing
cat
and
mouse...

The
game
tedious,
but
I
am
patient.

I'm sorry to hear your daughter is slow to mend, Susie but she is in my thoughts.

Hugs to all.

And worth waiting for, if your poem of one post-scroll up is anything to go by. :-)

Sometimes we have to lie in wait until the elusive prey happens by. A very insightful commentary on the writing process.

Just out of earshot, those words, or on the tip of your tongue. Yes. Wonder what would bring them out in a renewable way.

Maybe after a good night's sleep, they appear in fully formed phrases.

Oh Susan, I've played this game far too many times, losing it so many!

I'm glad to hear you're a patient player, you'll end up having a better understanding of the moves and will win the game.

Annoyingly close.
Maybe they'll appear after a good night's sleep, in fully formed phrases.

Please catch that mouse, Susie.
You have a good start right here. Please try to remain patient. :)

BTW, my Susie had a shock for me tonight. Her husband wants them to move back to his Trinidad. They are to try planning for April 28. I like them in South Houston.
She writes music and reads my stuff, sort of liking it, and helps keep me straight.
